This group is a non for profit organization that does various things for soldiers deployed overseas, and one thing they do is letter writing. All you have to do is be a member of the group (to join you have to make a donation, one dollar is sufficient!) and you are eligible to participate in the program. I really, realllly want to write soldiers letters because it is nice to have correspondence from someone removed from your life. So my mindless blabbing might be a nice break for a soldier who is actively engaged in defending our country, and seeing a soldier’s problems and reading his or her letter will definitely help me, too. The website said that some soldiers don’t get mail during mail call and that just made me feel lonely for the solider because I can only imagine how I would want to feel like someone not immediately around me cares about me. 

The only issue is that you have to be 18 to send letters, and I won’t be 18 until September. So if you guys have spare time and a buck or two laying around, maybe this interests you.
