I feel for everyone who didn’t get into UF, or their top choice college, because I know that a lot of people worked extremely hard but just don’t test well, or are absolutely brilliant but are unorganized or something else happened to their grades and their GPAs fell. The process of applying to college was almost humiliating because we all were reduced to our grades, scores, extra curricular activities, and an essay. Everyone is a lot more than that stuff. It sucked for me because in IB, 90% of the class is smarter than me and hearing others’ credentials made mine laughable. I know this might mean nothing to people who didn’t get in to their top choice, but everyone still has a ton of potential. You determine what you get from your education, and you determine how you fulfill your potential. Don’t let it become a set back. There are people who become happy, and even successful without even going to college. Don’t let it bog you down.
